Floor Tech

Alamance Health Care Center in Burlington, NC is seeking a qualified candidate to join our growing team as a Floor Tech.

 

As a Floor Tech, you'll play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do

  • Strip, wax, buff, and refinish hard surface floors throughout the facility using industrial floor care equipment.

  • Operate and maintain floor care equipment including automatic scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, and carpet extractors.

  • Shampoo and extract carpeted areas on a scheduled and as-needed basis.

  • Dust mop, wet mop, and spot clean floors in resident rooms, hallways, and common areas.

  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas in accordance with facility infection control and safety procedures.

  • Mix and use cleaning chemicals and solutions safely and according to manufacturer guidelines and OSHA standards.

  • Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or maintenance needs promptly to the supervisor.

  • Assist with general housekeeping duties as needed, including cleaning spills and responding to facility needs.

  • Follow all facility policies regarding infection control, bloodborne pathogens, and hazardous waste disposal.

 

What You Need

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

  • Previous floor care or janitorial experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.
