Assistant Director of Nursing

Alamance Health Care Center in Burlington, NC is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as the Assistant Director of Nursing (RN).

What You'll Do

  • Support the Director of Nursing in providing leadership and oversight to the nursing team.

  • Assist in developing and executing plans to meet departmental goals and objectives.

  • Monitor patient care delivery and clinical outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, including state and federal regulations.

  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and employee engagement. 

  • Partner with Human Resources to recruit, onboard, and retain top nursing talent.

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to enhance patient care and safety.

  • Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident. 

 

What You Need

  • Active unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in North Carolina.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. 

  • Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in nursing practice and patient care.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and lead a diverse team of healthcare professionals.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

RN Weekend Supervisor

Nursing is what we do! Alamance Health Care Center is currently seeking an LPN or RN House Supervisor for our 180 bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Burlington.

The House Supervisor oversees the nursing department in the DON’s absence. The House Supervisor reviews staffing at the change of a shift and assigns and replaces staff to meet patient care needs. Completes patient care rounds. Coordinates admissions, transfers and /or discharges and ensures appropriate documentation. Assists in orientation of evening and night shift employees. Supervises and evaluates evening and night shift employees.

Qualified candidates will be a licensed LPN or RN and have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a nurse supervisor as well as experience in acute setting.

Unit Manager LPN or RN

Alamance Health Care Center has an exciting opportunity for a Unit Manager, LPN/RN in our 180 beds skilled rehab center in Burlington.

 

The Unit Manager will oversee clinical operations of the unit and is responsible for staff supervision of nurses and CNAs, as well as interfacing with physicians, QI reporting and follow-up, and providing clinical expertise to staff as needed. This unit provides care for our most clinically acute patients and residents. Typical hours are Monday through Friday day shift, with some weekend and on-call duties.

 

Requirements:

•Current license by the North Carolina Board of Nursing to practice as a LPN/RN.
•Minimum three to five years of experience as an LPN/RN, preferably in long term care.
•Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations as they relate to long term care.
•Nursing Management experience preferred.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct care to the residents of the health and rehabilitation center, assisting them in activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of a professional nurse.
